About

Author Clyde Cremer, built on his childhood love of nature in rural Iowa to earn a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He then completed a Master of Forestry degree from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies in 1973.  Clyde Cremer brings a lifetime of expertise to the design and construction of high-quality log homes and he shares this knowledge in this book.

Co-author Jeff Cremer, worked in the family business while growing up, gaining first-hand experience as he helped to build log homes during summer breaks from college.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Colorado State University and a Master of Science in Construction Management from Arizona State University.
